Getting A Massage In Maui?

Massage and spa therapies are the quintessential Maui Vacation activity. As a licensed massage therapist and esthetician who has been working within Hawaii's top spas for the last decade, I can't tell you how many times I hear "This is my first massage, and this is my first time to Hawaii", within the same breath. The main reason I can come with, as to why many people wait to receive their first massage or spa treatment until their Hawaiian vacation, is that Hawaii is synonymies with beauty, nurturing and tranquility. Three of the main adjectives which are also used to describe a spa or massage.
Whether it is the balmy, nurturing atmosphere of the islands, or that spa and massage therapy are a dime a dozen on each island, Hawaii is a haven for the massage, spa and alternative healing addicts. (A healthier addiction than most, mind you).
The main difference between massage therapy and spa therapy is that spa therapy generally incorporates a massage with a face and/or body treatment, such a European facial, body wrap, or exfoliating body scrub. Each spa generally it's own "theme" or spa menu, offering a variety of different face and body treatments to choose from.
